ABOUT THE AFMA FORUM 2026

Theme: The Feed Factor: The Chain That Feeds a Nation

AFMA is proud to host its 12th Animal Feed Conference from 8 to 10 September 2026 at Sun City, South Africa. The AFMA Forum is the feed industry’s premier strategic platform, convening leaders from across the feed-to-food value chain to engage on critical challenges, share insight, and harness innovation and technology in shaping a resilient and sustainable food system for South Africa’s future.

The 2026 theme, “The Feed Factor: The Chain That Feeds a Nation”, highlights the central role of feed manufacturing in national food security. Decisions within the feed sector influence animal protein supply, food affordability and -safety, trade competitiveness, and system resilience. Feed is no longer a supporting function, it is a stabilising force across the broader food economy.

The Forum provides a structured environment where scientific evidence, market intelligence, regulatory updates, and operational realities are examined with practical, solution-focused outcomes.
